Job Brief:
  • Ensure stores offer optimum levels of customer service at all times through regular meetings and trainings for staff.
  • Conduct regular store visits and explore opportunities to enhance sales in the stores and provide feedback to the head office on their endeavors.
  • Develop and agree annual plan and associated budget for Sales department (sales, staffing, expenses and profitability) in the area by brand and location, monitor performance against this, initiating corrective action where necessary to ensure operations are conducted within the agreed financial parameters.
  • Analyze profitability in conjunction with sales/ operations for the area and do brand analysis by each store to ensure maximum efficiency is achieved by selecting right product brands to fit the consumer profile of the store.
  • Ensure that the store managers collect data on customer profiles to help identify business opportunities and trends by analyzing consumer behavior to ensure that all opportunities are exploited in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Organize internal marketing activities (events, new product launches, beauticians to promote skin care products etc.) and liaising the information to other Area Managers to ensure maximum efficiency is achieved by taking advantage of the product synergies.
  • Manage and identify the training, development and motivation of staff in the area to ensure that the Department is staffed with the requisite numbers and caliber of staff to meet its objective and that staff is encouraged to maximize their capability and contribution.
  • Set goals for the store managers in accordance to the chain goals and ensure they are pursued by providing regular feedback and guidance. Formalize a quarterly review for the stores and ensure performance is managed by the goals set for the staff.
  • Ensure that the all chain and brand driven promotions are implemented according to the set guidelines to achieve planned revenues.
Person Specification:
  • Specialized sales management training and expertise typically gained over a period of at least 8 years. 
  • Proven track record in the field of Sales and Retailing.
  • Good people management and communication skills.
  • Beauty retail experience
