Valsala Nair joined Danzas in March 2000, in sales support. Currently she is
working at the regional level, handling the global bidding team. She reports
directly to the regional sales and marketing manager who is based in Egypt.
While in sales support her responsibilities included supporting the sales team
in Dubai for the pricing, quotation, acquiring of the rates from the various
origins and then finally putting it in a proposal or a quotation. Since her
promotion to the regional department, Valsala’s responsibility and reach has
been greatly increased covering the entire emerging markets region, which
consists of 73 countries.
" Danzas is a good company and I enjoy my job which is the reason why
I have been working here for eight years. The most enjoyable part of my job is
coordinating and meeting new people. In the future I can see myself heading the
bidding team as I just love rates.
I dream, sleep and breathe rates. So that is the area I want to perfect,
where I have a good knowledge of my region and know all the ins and outs of all
the areas and the products we handle. I am scheduled for further training in
that area as well. "
