Jamil Khan - or well known as ‘Haji' - joined the company on 1st April 1980 as Driver - "Yeah that's right many of you were not even born during that time. I have kept the offer letter in a perfect condition till date".
30 years in the Group (and still counting...) Jamil Khan has absolutely no doubt that working in Al Tayer Group is the best thing that has ever happened to him.
His response to why has he not joined another company in the last 30 years when Dubai especially was booming with opportunities everywhere. "Sir, can anyone run away from his own family? I am very happy and content because I feel respected here. Earning respect is more than earning money. All the members of this group are my family members and if I leave them someday, I will retire to my home and not work again." - says the father of 9 children, 2 of whom are married too.
His advise to all those aspiring to run the race with the group -"Put your heart and soul into your work. Treat your company like your family. Always think about reducing cost and saving money for the company. Maintain good relationships with everyone, because in the end, that's the only thing that matters".
